4月14日上午，电影《奸臣》在首尔市广津区建大入口乐天影院举行了制作发表会，闵奎东导演、主演朱智勋、金康宇、林智妍、李侑英等出席了当天的活动。
制作发表会上，朱智勋表示："电影拍摄中，女演员非常多，而且她们的韩服总是往下掉。刚开始女演员们还会注意衣服，看不到里面，但之后完全不管了。不小心的话，很容易被误会为是变态，因此不知道视线该怎么处理。"朱智勋还表示："我在戏中有很多粗怒的戏份，很担心会把女演员的衣服撕坏。"
之前，在香港曝光的电影海报中，朱智勋和金康宇躺在美女堆中，表情各异。许多粉丝表示："不知道佳仁会发表什么样的言论。","佳仁是Cool girl，应该不介意吧。"
此外，电影《奸臣》是以朝鲜历史上著名暴君燕山君执政时期为背景，讲述的是在君王面前伪装忠臣，实际上却是扰乱政坛主谋的奸臣的故事，其视皇帝为傀儡，实为"王上之王"。
